This Project was of particular interest because the client was a Japanese musician who shared our admiration for Japanese architecture, both traditional and contemporary. Therefore, cultural interaction became an essential component of the design process.
The house is a retreat by the sea, south of Tokyo, designed to provide tranquility. The goal was to create a very simple architecture to emphasize the beauty of the seaside landscape.
